Just drop your PC, laptop or any other computer hardware into our Newton Abbot store and an engineer will be happy to assist. We charge a standard £39.00 (Inc. VAT) booking in fee, which is payable at time of booking.
The booking fee that we charge covers the initial diagnosis of the system. Any extra work that Electrowise Computers in Newton Abbot has completed or parts ordered/installed may occur an additional charge.
Here at Electrowise Computers, we always recommend to our home user customers that you backup any important data before having a computer system repaired, if this is not possible and you require data retrieved or saved please ask Electrowise at the time of booking in and we will endeavour to do this for you.
We believe that every computer system needs an ‘MOT’ every 6 months to keep it in optimum working order. We will check the integrity of your hardware, scan for viruses and other malicious software, and make sure that the system is up-to-date and secure.
If preferred, we can send one of our engineers out at a time that is most convenient for you. Our standard home visit charge per hour is £72.00 (Inc. VAT) From our experience we have found that most problems will be fixed within the first hour. If we feel the issue will take longer than an hour we will bring the system to our workroom to continue the repair. This will save you money as our in-house rates are substantially lower than the on-site rates.

Sometimes a system will have trouble loading Windows, or even starting up. We have professional tools and software at our disposal to diagnose the problems and offer you the best option to provide an adequate solution.
We use professional tools to recover data from faulty/damaged hard-drives. We can recover the data onto a storage device of your choice; new system, new hard-drive, USB drive, CD/DVD.
We can remove all sensitive or personal information from a hard-drive using professional software, which in turn creates a new blank drive for you to re-use (if healthy) or destroy.
We can examine your system and advise you on where to upgrade. Whether its an extra stick of RAM or a higher-end video card. We will advise on the best solution to get the most out of your system.
